Smarter revision. Built around you.
The adaptive, GP-authored revision platform built around you — your exam date, your learning priorities, and the way you actually learn.
Made by doctors, for doctors. Join early and help shape the platform.
Mapped to each exam’s curriculum & current guidance
Designed for every kind of mind
No failure tax
No pressure. No one right way to revise.
We won’t bombard you with manufactured urgency, relentless targets or promotions designed to make you anxious. That kind of pressure drives stress and actually makes revision less effective.
The joy of general practice is that no two consultations are ever the same — and our workforce should reflect that. There is no single right way to revise. Core Revision celebrates those differences and works with them, rather than pushing you into a method that doesn’t suit you.
We take the mental load out of revising.

The tools that make Core Revision different
We give you a plan that adapts to your life, and a clear picture of exactly where you stand.

Your interactive calendar
Exam dates, learning pace, weak spots — Core Calendar builds your plan around you. It adapts. It learns. It doesn’t judge.
- 1Built around your exam date. Personalised daily tasks that work back from your sitting, at your pace.
- 2Two focuses, every day. A primary focus to learn new material, and a secondary focus to keep familiar topics warm.
- 3Reschedules if life gets in the way. Shift a day or a week and the plan adapts around you — no guilt, no judgement.
- 4Core Lens takeaways. The safety cue, the guideline point and the exam trap, explained as you practise.

Practice that teaches, not just tests
Exam-style questions across every RCGP domain — practise by topic, in timed blocks, or as realistic mocks.
- 1Practise your way. Work through a single domain, run a timed block, or sit a full mock — and build mocks from your weak spots through Core Compass.
- 2Answers that teach. A Core Lens takeaway — the safety cue, the guideline point and the exam trap — with a Deep Dive when you want the full reasoning.
- 3Written by practising GPs. Our questions are written by practising UK GPs, reviewed by a second clinician and re-audited against current guidance.
- 4Updated as guidance changes. Mapped to each exam’s curriculum and current NICE guidance, with updates at no extra cost.

Know exactly where you stand — across the whole curriculum
Core Compass turns your quiz scores across every RCGP topic into one clear readiness picture, so you always know what to revise next.
- 1One readiness score. Everything you’ve practised rolls up into a single ‘are you on track?’ figure, so you always know where you stand.
- 2The whole curriculum, mapped. Every RCGP area, colour-coded mastered / developing / needs focus — so your weak spots jump out at a glance.
- 3Built from your real activity. Questions answered, curriculum covered and topics mastered update as you go — then it points you to what to revise next.
- 4Build a mock from your weak spots. The mock-exam builder lives here — turn your gaps into a targeted paper, or jump straight into your weakest topic, in one click.

Neurology
Sample question
A 34-year-old woman attends with 18 hours of right-sided facial weakness, noticed when brushing her teeth. She cannot raise her right eyebrow or close her right eye fully. There are no vesicles in or around the ear and her limbs are normal. Examination confirms an isolated lower motor neurone facial nerve palsy with forehead involvement.
According to NICE CKS, what is the most appropriate initial management?
Choose an answer to reveal the Core Lens.
Core Lens — high-yield takeaways
- Prednisolone within 72 hours — 50 mg/day for 10 days, with no routine antivirals.
- Forehead spared would point to a stroke, not Bell’s — refer urgently. Here the forehead is involved, so this is a lower motor neurone (Bell’s) palsy.
Source: NICE CKS · Bell’s palsy
Read the Deep Dive
Why B is right. This is a typical lower motor neurone (Bell’s) facial palsy — the forehead is involved, there are no ear vesicles, and the limbs are normal. NICE CKS advises oral prednisolone started within 72 hours of onset (50 mg daily for 10 days). As she can’t fully close the eye, add eye care — lubricating drops by day, ointment and taping at night — to prevent exposure keratopathy.
Why not the others:
- A — urgent neurology referral: not needed for a typical Bell’s palsy. Urgent referral is for forehead-sparing (upper motor neurone) weakness suggesting a stroke, or atypical/bilateral features.
- C — prednisolone + aciclovir: routine antivirals aren’t recommended. Combination treatment is reserved for Ramsay Hunt syndrome (herpes zoster — look for ear vesicles), which isn’t present here.
- D — aciclovir alone: steroids, not antivirals, are the mainstay; aciclovir alone has no clear benefit.
- E — reassure, treat at 3 weeks: steroids work best started early, so waiting wastes the 72-hour window.
Exam pattern: the AKT loves the forehead. Forehead involved = lower motor neurone (Bell’s — treat with steroids); forehead spared = upper motor neurone (think stroke — refer).

The Ultimate GP AKT Statistics Guide
Medical statistics is one of the highest-yield — and most-feared — parts of the AKT. It’s the topic trainees most want to crack, so we built a genuinely interactive guide with worked examples, read through the Core Lens so the reasoning sticks. It’s the clearest demonstration of how Core Revision teaches — and it’s completely free, no sign-up needed.
- Sensitivity, specificity, NNT and likelihood ratios — explained simply
- Interactive worked examples and the exam patterns the AKT keeps coming back to
- Written and checked by a practising GP, updated as NICE guidance changes

From the team behind Core Revision
Built by practising GPs — live since August 2026.
We’re a new platform, so rather than borrowed testimonials, here’s why we built it — in our own words.
“Revision shouldn’t force you into one mould. We built Core Revision to flex around real clinical lives — and to support every kind of learner, including neurodivergent trainees.”

“We wanted explanations that teach the clinical reasoning, not just the answer — mapped to current NICE guidance, written and checked by GPs who are still on the tools.”

“Good revision design reduces unnecessary cognitive load so your effort goes where it counts. That principle shaped how every part of this platform is structured.”
